USA Today and the Philadelphia Inquirer featured articles in a series about Temple University students starting their own businesses as an alternative to job hunting in this tough economy. I am fortunate enough to be among the alumni interviewed for my work at NEast Philly.
From USA Today’s Education Blog:
From The Philadelphia Inquirer:
In September 2009, I had the honor of being a CityPaper Choice Award winner for my work involving a ride-along with an officer of the Philadelphia Police Department.
In Spring 2010, I was awarded first place in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence Awards for Region 1. This award is again the result of my work following a ride-along with a Philadelphia police officer during my final semester at Temple University. The article has gone on to the national level, where it awaits judging.
